Camp Friendship: Tips for Parents
These tips will help you prepare your young camper for a great time at Camp Friendship.
Coming and Going
We will be leaving the Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008. Transportation will be provided for all campers. Please be at the church parking lot by 1:30 p.m. so we can get all belongings packed into the vehicles.
Families are invited to attend our closing worship service, which begins at 9:00 am Sunday morning, June 1. Dress for this event is casual.
Camp officially ends after lunch on Sunday the 1st, around 12:30 p.m. Then we will be returning to Trinity Lutheran Church. We will arrive at approximately 2:15pm. If you plan on joining us for the Sunday service and are staying for lunch, please inform Chuck Voss or DCE Leah Kortmeyer so we can accommodate extra guests. If for any reason your child is to arrive late or leave camp early, please make arrangements in advance with Chuck or Leah.
Please do not send along any food, snacks or drink items. They are not permitted in the cabins. As much as we want to enjoy the great outdoors, we don’t want it coming into the cabins and dining with us.
Money
Your $50 registration fee covers the entire cost of lodging, food, and activities for the weekend. (Trinity Lutheran Youth Board has graciously donated toward the cost of the weekend to keep your cost low.)
There is no need for your camper to bring any money with them. We will even provide them with daily snacks.Your payment, completed registration and Health / Medical Consent forms need to be returned to the Trinity Lutheran Church office by May 9th.
If you have any further questions about what should or shouldn’t
be brought to camp, please contact us!
